THE TG4 cultural programme ‘IMEALL’ (margin, on the edge) comes to Limerick twice in a row this October. First up this Thursday 9 at 10.15pm, TG4 is a look at Elaine Byrne’s installation, ‘RAUMPLAN’ which is upstairs at Limerick City Gallery of Art, Pery Square. There’s an interview with Byrne also.
Tune in on Thursday October 16, again 10.15pm to view a retrospective on City of Culture achievements so far. Royal de Luxe (Grandmother) is referenced, Limerick Printmakers; Irish novelist Pádraic Breathnach takes presenter Tristan on a literary tour.
The IWA of Music and Dance will feature on its 20th anniversary and Prof Míchael Ó Súilleabháin performs ‘Sliabh na mBan’ on piano.
Finally, there’s a preview of November 6-9’s Light Moves Festival of Screendance which will see feature length and Short films screened, talks and installations. Operating out of Dance Limerick for the most part, in John’s Square.
