IF YOU are expecting a new member to the family then the Baby & Me event at Mothercare in the Crescent Shopping Centre next Sunday October 5 from 10am to 12noon is the place to be.
This free event is the perfect opportunity for first time mums and dads. It’s also a great refresher for grandparents! There will be an experienced midwife on hand to give advice and tips on caring for your new bundle of joy, as well as to answer your questions in private.
The midwife will demonstrate and discuss aspects such as bathing and feeding your new baby, and generally make it a less daunting experience for when the time comes. If you don’t know your rearward facing infant carrier from a forward facing booster, this is the place to learn.
There will be information on all aspects of pregnancy and parenting with free advice and product demonstrations from fully trained, experienced staff members.
A caring team will cut through all the jargon and help new families understand their new baby’s needs before they even arrive. Bear in mind that hospital checklist is really useful as it includes all the little practical things you may not think of and some helpful tips on what to leave behind.
Mothercare’s team will answer any questions you have on car seats, pushchairs, feeding, home-safety and anything that will improve the new parenting journey.
New parents will also receive a really helpful pregnancy information pack with lots of helpful information, including the hospital checklist, a Family Card for the Mothercare rewards club, a gift and a 10% voucher to help you out during your pregnancy.
