A MONTH long children’s festival is to run in Limerick during October when music, the arts and live performances, together with music and chat will be on show and all especially geared for children of all ages.
Launching the festival this Monday, Minister for Education and Skills Jan O’Sullivan said that the arts should be available to all children so as to see what they are interested in and let them develop and enjoy their skills through their school years.
Bualadh bos, this year’s Children’s festival, is being supported by Limerick City of Culture, and promises to capture the imagination of young audiences in the region with magical theatre, raucous book readings, chatty talks and interactive workshops.
For the entire month of October, organisers say that both the Lime Tree theatre and 69 O’Connell Street will be “buzzing with active, curious and spellbound minds”.
