Limerick based Kirby Engineering Group creates 30 new jobs

LIMERICK based Kirby Engineering Group has announced the creation of 30 new jobs at its operations in Raheen.

Minister for Finance Michael Noonan made the announcement this Friday as the company celebrates its 50th anniversary.

The new jobs will be created in the areas of professional engineering and construction roles along with project and site management.

In 2013, the group had a turnover figure of €90m, an increase of 20 per cent from the previous year.

Limerick brothers and owners of the company, Tom and Michael Kirby founded the company in 1964 and has gone from 10 employees in 1987 to over 600 across a variety of locations in Ireland, the UK and mainland Europe.

Minister Noonan marked the announcement by signing a plaque at the company headquarters.
