A 45 year old man remains in garda custody under questioning this Thursday following the discovery of what is now estimated to be €450,000 worth of heroin and up to €20,000 worth of cocaine at two separate locations earlier this week.
Garda from the Limerick Divisional Drugs Unit, operating on intelligence, discovered a quantity of drugs near a roadside in Meelick and a larger quantity at a house in O’Briensbridge later during a follow-up search.
The man was detained at the scene and is being questioned at Roxboro Road Garda station. He can be detained for a period of up to seven days from his arrest.
