THE Pigtown Fling has announced another compere for the event on September 20. Limerick actor/comedian/musician Pat Shortt will joining Today FM’s Paul McAloon to introduce the performances of over 40 musicians for the project.
A new track from the project has been released. ‘In My House’ is produced by Noel Hogan (The Cranberries) was written and performed for The Pigtown Fling by Brendan Markham and Ross Brennan with Ben Wanders.
For Limerick City of Culture 2014, over 60 Limerick musicians, producers, engineers and documentary makers have collaborated to produce Sound Out & The Pigtown Fling, a musical legacy project that has seen the city’s creatives work together on an original body of work that will be premiered at an event in September and released on CD.
The Pigtown Fling featuring over 40 musicians happens on Saturday September 20 at Crescent Hall on O’Connell Avenue. Actor/comedian Pat Shortt and Today FM DJ and Undertones Lead Singer Paul McAloon will be compering.
