ELECTRIC Picnic has added more names to their lineup. Limerick representation just announced is Nubus and Leading Armies who join Rubberbandits, Sean’s Walk and Karl Spain at the festival happening on August 29-31. Electronic producer/DJ Nubus will play a live set at The Oxjam Tent at 3am on Saturday morning using 3 synthesizers … and a large pot of coffee perhaps! Leading Armies play The Trailer Park on Sunday.
Other notables added to the bill are Jenny Lewis (promoting her melancholic new album The Voyager); We Cut Corners (on the back of an outstanding Indiependence set) Krystal Klear (UK based Irish House DJ/Producer) and The Minutes and The Raglans will bring the rock.
Tickets are now sold out but on your television, RTÉ Two will provide dedicated Electric Picnic coverage on Saturday night August 30 from 8pm right through to midnight fronted by Eoghan McDermott and RTÉ 2fm’s Jenny Greene with performances from the main stage and the Other Voices stage. 2fm will be broadcasting from the festival all weekend.
