THE family and friends of an Irish man missing in London have appealed for any information in on the location or whereabouts of the 37-year-old.
Police in London are leading the investigation and are also appealing for information on 37-year-old John Dowdall from Scarriff in east Clare
John is missing since last Thursday and it is understood that he travelled to the UK on July 31 last and had been staying at a hotel in Cricklewood in north east London.
On Sunday night last, news that the 37-year-old was missing emerged on social media Sunday night.
Members of the Colindale Missing Persons Unit are liaising with gardai in Scarriff and the East Clare division with a view to establishing movements as well as to make local enquiries.
A spokesperson for the Missing Persons Unit said “We are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of Mr Dowdall. He was last seen at 17.00hrs on Thursday 7 August at a hotel in Cricklewood, London.
“He had been a guest at the Hotel since 31 July but failed to return on Thursday leaving all his belongings and valuables behind. John is described as being 5ft 7ins tall and of large stocky build. He has diabetes which requires medication that he has left at the hotel.”
