The story around this Limerick episode of Building Ireland has further developed in recent weeks over the veracity of St’ Johns Cathedral in Limerick and its Spire and regarding its claim to being the tallest Spire in Ireland with St Colman’s in Cobh, Cork also laying claim to being Ireland’s tallest church building by some 40 feet.
