ROCK ’n’ roll and country lead the way for the Legends in Concert night taking place at South Court Hotel on Friday August 15. Organiser Claire O’Brien has a terrific suite of professional acts booked, the audience is invited to arrive in 1950s dress and there are worthy beneficiaries to the €20 tickets – Pieta House and Irish Cancer Society.
Claire, from Knockadea, Ballylanders, has a solid record in community works and fundraising and is an approved fundraiser for the ICS. Interestingly, she is also a promoter of country and western acts in Ireland which has resulted in her aligning a set of 40-minute gigs by Liam Cantillon singing Irish country legends, Paddy Murphy and his American country mix, Dave Sharkey’s take on ’50s rock and roll and Mr Deak Rivers from the UK. His twin acts are Elvis and Buddy Holly and guitar.

Each is an accomplished live performer, singer and musician in one.
The 400-seat conference facility at South Court Hotel will have a bar extension until 12.30am on Friday August 15 and tickets are at the hotel reception, on the door from 7.45pm (show 8.30pm) and online at website www.entertainment.ie
