LIMERICK band Slow Riot formed in the long, hot summer of 2013. Describing their sound as “dark, brooding and core rattling”, Slow Riot cut their teeth in various bands based in London and Ireland, coming together to create something different. ‘Demons’ is the lead track from their debut EP out now. The band cite The National, Joy Division, Interpol, The Cure as influences and ‘Demons’ has elements from all their heroes.
The track does prove that Niall Clancy (bass/vocals), Aaron Duff (guitars) and Barry O’Halloran (drums) have the voice, the sound and ability to deliver on their promise. Keep an eye to how this Slow Riot develops.
