Cyclist Killed in Fatal Collision in Limerick

A cyclist has died in a fatal collision in Limerick this morning.

The collision involving an articulated truck and a cyclist,happened at the junction of Rutland Street, Fr. Matthew Bridge and Charlotte’s Quay at 7.30 am. The women, believed to be in her 30’s was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her body has been removed to the Mid Western Regional Hospital ,where a post mortem examination will take place.

The roadway in the area,which is close to the Hunt Museum,is closed and diversions are in place.
