AS part of Limerick City of Culture, The Hunt Museum proposes to design, develop and deliver Communities of Culture. This is a programme exploring the different cultural experiences and heritages of each of Limerick’s regeneration areas – Southill, Ballinacurra Weston, Moyross and St Mary’s Park.

Applications have to be placed with Dr Dominique Bouchard of Outreach and education at the Hunt, Rutland Street by June 19.

Through a series of targeted workshop projects, Communities of Culture will support eight groups, two in each area. These will be inclusive of a range of perspectives and voices including young people, women, men, older people, ethnic minorities, migrants, and people with disabilities.

Projects will culminate in four community-based pop-up style touring exhibitions highlighting the individual achievements, stories and heritage of participating areas.
