RTE’s Peter Dowdall, Masterchef Denis Cregan and Expert DIY demo’s just some of the highlights at upcoming Co-op Superstores Family Fun & Demo Days this Saturday 26th of April.
As spring starts to head towards summer and that much loved ‘grand stretch in the evening’ gives us a little extra time to spend making home and garden improvements most of us will be taking a trip to our local DIY and Garden centres over the coming weekends. There is an extra special reason to make that trip to your local Co-Op Superstore this April as there will be something to tickle the fancy of all ages and interest at the upcoming Co-Op Superstores Family Fun & Demo days. These family friendly events will be held throughout the month in the Carrigaline, Mallow, Midleton and Raheen stores. Co-op Superstores are celebrating 5 years under the umbrella of Dairygold Co-Op Superstores with a host of entertainment, treats for kids, information and special offers.
The next of these Family Fun Days takes place in Co-op Superstores in Raheen this coming Saturday 26th April and with door busting special offers on the day it is not to be missed! While Dad wanders in the DIY section, and Mum enjoys LIVE Cookery Demonstrations and Gardening Demonstrations, children will enjoy face painting from 10-5pm, free balloons and a chance to meet and have their picture taken with the real Dulux Dog between 12 and 2pm. All this great distraction is a fantastic chance for the adults to take in live product demonstrations and chat with the experts in relation to technical advice.
In the Raheen Store Celebrity Gardener Peter Dowdall from RTE’s ‘How to Create and Garden’and Ireland AM will be on hand between 11am and 3pm doing FREE demos and giving talks on low maintenance gardening, planting pots, how best to feed and weed and how to keep colour in your garden all summer long. There will be live cookery and bakery demonstrations by Chef Denis Cregan, from with Masterchefs Hospitality, taking place throughout the day. Denis will be giving great tips for easy to cook recipes that will be sure to impress friends as well as BBQ recipes and tasters! Finally Dulux Colour Consultant, Barbara MaWhinney will be on hand to give expert advice on the colour trends for 2014 and way’s to maximise your space.
