LIMERICK Jazz Society loves its annual gigs and workshops with longstanding supporter, American vibraphone virtuoso, Tony Miceli.

Monday April 14 sees Limerick Jazz return to a former haunt, The Granary at Michael Street for Miceli’s leading of the Modern Irish Quartet with whom he is touring  to promote their eponymous album, just out, with 10 tracks recorded.

Bach, Mancini and Miceli himself feature in the composer credits.

Modern Irish Quartet is comprised of Ireland’s finest: Phil Ware on piano, Dave Redmond, base and John Daly of Limerick Jazz on percussion.

“This is a free performance in Limerick City Library, sponsored in part by Limerick City and County Council. This promises to be a most entertaining evening of great jazz and we really hope you can join us,” is Daly’s message to jazz fans out there.
