Searches underway for missing Limerick woman

A LIMERICK woman is missing from her home since last Saturday and her family and gardai in Newcastlewest are seeking the assistance of the public in locating her whereabouts.

24-year-old Rosie Moloney is missing from her home since April 5 last and is described as 5′ 5″ in height with curly brown shoulder length hair and green eyes.

The young woman was last seen around 5pm at Ballymartin, Pallaskenry Co Limerick but it is not known what she was wearing at the time.

Searches had been taking place over the last number of days with coordinated efforts from land and sea search and rescue crews together with the Irish Coast Guard Helicopter Rescue 115 from Shannon.

Efforts to locate Rosie will continue with search parties taking to land and sea in the area where she was last seen.

Gardai and family are very concerned for Rosie and are appealing to anyone who may have seen Rosie, to contact them in Newcastle West on 069 20650 the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.

Meantime Limerick Marine Search and Rescue are continuing their search for a man missing since March 21 last at an area in Killaloe known locally as Between the waters.

They say that dives will continue until the person is located.
