BAIL has been refused to a man charged in connection with a shooting in Limerick last December.
Ian Horgan (30), with an address at Lenihan Avenue but originally from Cork, is charged with the alleged illegal possession of a shotgun with the intent to cause harm or endanger life on December 12 last year.
26-year-old Sean Finnan of Byrne Avenue was shot in the stomach and left arm when two men approached his home brandishing a sawn off shotgun.
Doctors removed 26 pellets from his stomach but his injuries were not life threatening.
Horgan was arrested and charged a short time later and has been in custody since.
This week, the State objected to bail being granted at Limerick District Court and Judge Eugene O’Kelly remanded the accused in continuing custody until April 1 next.
