Limerick is Taking Care of Business

Minister Alan Kelly to address Limerick one-stop-shop free event for small businesses.

The Minister of State at the Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport, Alan Kelly TD will address a free one-stop-shop event for existing and potential entrepreneurs called ‘Taking Care of Business’ on Tuesday the 11th of March in the Strand Hotel, Limerick. A large number of business people are expected to attend the event where they will have the opportunity to informally ask questions and get advice from more than 25 State bodies. The half-day event is specifically targeted at people thinking of starting a business and small business owners and managers. Attending the event will allow all entrepreneurs to find out about supports that are available to them from across the public sector. Entrepreneurs will also gain a better understanding of the key regulations that affect them in order for them to focus on the main task of running their business.

Sessions at the event will be chaired by:

Helen O’Donnell – entrepreneur, Chairperson of Limerick Tidy Towns and Limerick Person of the Year 2012.

Mary Fitzgerald – Woodlands House Hotel, Adare, member of the Advisory Board of the University of Limerick’s Kemmy Business School and former president of the Irish Hotels Federation.

Paul Collins – Mechanical Engineer and winner of National Enterprise of the Year 2013.

One-stop-shop free event for small businesses will take place in the Strand Hotel, Limerick on Tuesday 11th March at 9.30am
