IT’S that time of year again, fashion fans, when the popular Laurel Hill Schools’ Gala Fashion Show hosted by Holman Lee Model Agency takes place.
This much loved fashion event has been running for 35 years now and is one of the biggest in Munster, attracting an annual audience of well over 400 people every year.
Last Tuesday afternoon staff, pupils and members of the parents committee gathered at the school to announce details of the upcoming event as they reminded everyone to mark March 6 on the calendar. The fashion show, which takes place at 8pm at Limerick Strand Hotel, will see models from the Holman agency showcase a selection of styles from 2014 Spring/ Summer collections from a variety of leading stores: Gretta Gibbs, O’Donnell’s Boutique, Amee’s, Tippe Canoe Pamela Scotts, Connolly Man Stitch, Lady Penelope, Isobel, Catherine McCormack and Serendipity. Hartmann Opticians will accessorise the newly refined looks with chic sunglasses and 2014 season shoes by Serendipity.
Award winning Hugh Campbell Hair Group will create hairstyles to accentuate the trends and Laurel Hill students step out in the latest collections from Brown Thomas. Show committee organisers said they are delighted once again that the event is generously supported by local fashion houses and businesses and that the funds raised will be used for the benefit of present and future generations of Laurel Hill Coláiste and Laurel Hill Secondary School students.
