A CASTLETROY-based US software company is building relations with third level students in Limerick as part of a major recruitment drive.
ACI Software, located in the National Technology Park, currently employs around 60 staff with plans to grow that number to 100 in the future. As part of this expansion and to build relations with software students at LIT and the University of Limerick, the company is hosting an on-site challenge for students with the winner walking away with €1000 worth of One4All vouchers.
“There is great talent coming out of Limerick colleges with great technical ability and communication skills. We are using this challenge as an opportunity to tap into that talent pool and build relations with the universities in Limerick. Students will get to interact with some of out top Java engineers and see how our top talent engineers work and interact on daily bases,” explained human resources manager at ACI, Shane Blake.
The Challenge 2014 is aimed at all third level students with a background in software programming. The event takes place in ACI’s Castletroy hub on February 5 at 9am.
“It will definitely require some Java programming skills. It will require up to 12 hours to finish, but will have lots of fun activities throughout the day,” said Mr Blake.
Software students can enter as part of a team or individually. Teams can consist of up to 4 people. For more details check out www.facebook.com/ACIFooBarChallenge.
