LAST weekend saw a whirlwind of brilliant events taking in place in Limerick with ‘Riverdance’ taking place in UL Sports Arena and Munster securing a home quarter final at Thomond Park. Another highlight was on the club scene as Crush 87 opened its doors once again following renovations to the popular city centre venue.
The official Re Launch Party took place on Saturday night with arriving club goers enjoying a few drinks in The Orchard, with a DJ in the courtyard from 9pm before heading on for the main event in Crush 87.
DJ Darren P entertained the crowds in the main room of Crush with a mix of Electro Dance and House and the gorgeous DJ CC played in the more intimate setting of Club 87 with a distinctly R&B and Hip Hop flavour.
So what can we expect for the year ahead at the newly revamped venue? Well, according to the management team at Crush 87 there’s a big year ahead for the club as they plan to continue providing top notch music entertainment. This means you can expect world class DJs and popular resident DJs and MC’s from all over Ireland and abroad set to perform at the club, so keep an eye out for some big names coming soon.
Week in week out there is also great entertainment nights now in place at the club including ‘Urban Sounds’ on Friday nights with a mix of funky house and R&B in the chilled setting of Club 87 easing club goers into the weekend.
Saturday then it’s full throttle with club night ‘Censored’ boasting two rooms of party fun with an R&B flavour in Club 87 and a more commercial mainstream vibe to be found in the main room Crush.
Sunday then it’s time to wind down with ‘Sin’ in Club 87 with a mashup of house and R&B topping off a perfect weekend of partying!
