MIKE Fitzpatrick, a Limerick based academic and curator, is likely to be announced as the person to take charge of City Of Culture festival operations in an interim basis following the resignations of both Patricia Ryan and Karl Wallace recently.
The board of Limerick National City of Culture 2014 is to hold a press conference this afternoon at the Clarion Hotel, Limerick.
A statement said “The Board will announce at this media event a number of measures undertaken in response to recent matters”.

Attached to the Limerick School of Art and Design, Mr Fitzpatrick is expected to take up the running of both vacant positions.
Arts officer, Sheila Deegan, is also likely to be appointed to a senior role.
