THE discovery of a man’s body at an apartment in Limerick City centre is not being treated as suspicious according to Gardai.

On Sunday afternoon last, the man’s body was found at an apartment in Richmond court at the Mount Kennett apartment complex.

Originally from Limerick, the man in his 30s had not been seen for some time and concerned neighbours raised the alarm.

The man was last seen on Christmas day and on Sunday evening last, access was gained to the apartment where the man was found.

The apartment had been sealed off for a technical examination and the body was removed from the building and brought to the University Hospital Limerick for a post mortem to be carried out.

Gardai at Henry Street are not treating the death as suspicious but are still appealing for the assistance of the public in resolving the matter.
