Three people have taken personal injury claims against the GAA for falls which happened as almost 30,000 Limerick fans invaded the pitch to celebrate the county’s Munster final victory last July.
Limerick GAA county secretary Mike O’Riordan confirmed that the pitch invasion at the Gaelic Grounds had resulted in a number of claims against the stadium.
He added that this will most likely mean that any future spontaneous celebrations will be banned. “It will mean that in future for big games, the front row of seats will be for stewards and there will be more stewarding,” he said.
