A HORSE owner has been charged with endangering the lives of two Gardaí by driving his horse and sulky car directly at them in Moyross earlier this year.
Michael Stanners, (31) of Shanabooly Road, Ballynanty was before Limerick District Court this week charged with a breach of the Control of Horses Act at Cliona Park, Moyross on the evening of June 27.
He was also charged with the reckless endangerment of the lives of two gardai when he allegedly drove his sulky car at them on the same date.
Evidence of arrest, charge and caution was heard by Judge Eugene O’Kelly who granted a disclosure order to defence solicitor Sarah Ryan.
The case was adjourned until next year, when Mr Stanners will also face a Public Order charge alleging he used threatening or abusive language or behaviour to a detective garda in Pineview Gardens, Moyross on November 25.
