Tesco supporting Lions Club appeal

TESCO is supporting the Lions Club National Food Appeal this weekend to help people in need on the run up to Christmas.

Collections will take place this Friday, November 29 and Saturday, November 30, from 11am until 7pm in Tesco stores all across Limerick.

The Christmas Food Appeal 2013 is to be the biggest of its kind in the country involving over 3,000 volunteers and with hopes to collect food to the equivalent of 80,000 meals.

Lions Clubs spokesman Liam Lyons, commented : “We look forward to the continuing generosity of Tesco customers who have supported the project in the past. The needs of families are now greater than ever.”
