LIMERICK’S Cappamore Historical Society were one of 100 groups availing of the “Journey’s on us initiative” run by Iarnród Éireann where groups of 50 in the voluntary, community, charity and sporting sector received a free return journey.
Travelling to Dublin for the day this Friday, a spokesperson for the group said they wanted to give a “A huge thank you to all in Iarnród Éireann for making this possible for us, we are really looking forward to the day!”
The travel facilities will be ideal in particular for organisations bringing a group to a special event, or as part of a specific support to the members of the group which requires travel.
An Iarnród Éireann spokesperson said: “We wish Cappamore Historical Society a very enjoyable trip and are delighted that we can be involved in their charity. The Journey’s on us is our way of acknowledging all the great events and initiatives that go on in communities across the country”
