City car arson attacks under investigation

LINKS to more than half a dozen suspected arson attacks on cars in Limerick city are under investigation by Gardai after fire crews were called to Catherine Street to deal with two cars that were burned out in a four hour period.

Limerick city fire and rescue were back to the area up the three more times to deal with similar fires in as many days.

Gardai at Henry Street are now checking CCTV footage and conducting an investigation into any possible links between the two incidents.

The incidents happened in the early hours of the morning and subsequently all vehicles were removed for technical examinations.

No injures have been reported.
