Under 13 Inter County Blitz
Limerick hosted an Under 13 Inter County Development Blitz v Tipperary in Mick Neville Park last weekend. Six teams competed in the Blitz, Limerick had the Tigers, Lions and the Cheetahs and Tipperary had Slievenamon, Galtee Mor and the Devils Bit. Each team played five games. Eventhough the Limerick Girls were playing at Inter County Level for the first time, they displayed an array of skills, teamwork and played end to end Football. The future looks very bright for these young stars.

Under 11 Inter County Blitz
The PJ O’Halloran Girls Under 11 Inter-County Tournament was hosted in Clarecastle GAA grounds recently. There were teams from six counties represented in all: Clare (hosts), Galway, Limerick, Tipperary, Waterford and Kerry. Proceedings got underway with registration at 10h00 and the first of the group matches kicked off at 10h30. Limerick had two squads representing Limerick, each placed in a separate group. All teams played three group games and a final on the day, with all players receiving a medal to recognise their participation in the event. Both Limerick teams did very well on the day, with notable wins over Tipperary and Galway and close run contests against Waterford and the eventual winners Clare. Thank you to all the players, Team Mangers Ken Beirne and John Morrissey, club mentors, parents and guardians who attended the event, and indeed a big Thank you to Michael Murphy and his colleagues from the Clare Ladies Football association who organized and ran the event so successfully.
