A DEVASTATED Limerick family is keeping vigil for the safe return of a 15 year-old girl who has been missing since last week-end.
The last sighting of Chloe Kinsella was on Saturday, September 28 when she arrived home to Kenyon Avenue, Kileely at 8pm and went to her room.
Twenty minutes later she left the house, most likely through an upstairs window, and went missing without a trace.
Ever since, the community of Thomondgate and Kileely, along with her friends and classmates from St. Nessan’s Community College have been involved in a widespread search for the popular secondary school student.
A facebook page that has attracted almost 40,000 likes and thousands of comments hoping for her safe return, has been shared all over the province, the country and even to international followers.
Chloe, who is a champion hip/hop dancer, is the youngest daughter of Kevin and Shirley and one of nine children from Kinsella family. She has four brothers and four sisters.
Last seen wearing a white top, shorts and black tights, Chloe, who is 5 foot in height with fair or light brown shoulder length hair and blue eyes, may have been wearing pink pyjama bottoms with black Ugg boots and a pink hoody.
On Friday night, Chloe had queued for hours to secure her ticket for the sell-out One Direction concert in Croke Park next May. She had been out with friends on Saturday evening before returning home prior to her disappearance.
Chloe’s sister, Linsey (23,) who is very close to the teenager said it was totally out of character for her not to come home at night.
“She didn’t have her phone with her when she left and she wouldn’t have had any money. My mother is in bits.”
During the days that followed her disappearance, Chloe’s classmates were given time off from school to help in the search. This has now been stepped back as coordinated searches involving gardaí, adult volunteers and members of Limerick Marine Search and Rescue have intensified and take priority.
Desperate pleas are being made for anyone with the smallest piece of information to contact the Gardai at Mayorstone or any Garda station or indeed through the Garda confidential line on 1800 666 111.
