Newsreel for arts….

On Being Earnest

ITโ€™S a brave move to take on Wildeโ€™s wordy wit as expressed in โ€œThe Importance of Being Earnestโ€™. This is a big play for rehearsed reading and we can hear it played out in the genteel salons of No. 1 Pery Square Hotel on Sunday 29, 8pm.

Liam Halligan directs for Bottom Dog Theatre Company, the fourth and final play in the successful Four Places, Four Plays series. He joins fellow ย directors Myles Breen, Richie Ryan and Mai Oโ€™Halloran in this successful series located in venues novel for theatre.

The coup landed by Bottom Dog for this show is actress/ commentator Carrie Crowley, cast as that magnificent bray, Lady Bracknell.
