Gardai at Shannon are appealing for witnesses following a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision on the Sixmilebridge Rd to Shannon.
The collision occurred at approximately 4.30am this morning when a car collided with a wall at the above location.
A male driver, the only occupant, in his 20s was fatally injured. His body has been removed to the University HospitalLimerick where a Post Mortem will take place later today.
The road is closed pending a Garda technical examination and diversions are in place.
