LEGENDARY Hacienda DJ and producer Greg Wilson will play Limerick as part of Arthur’s Day this September. The Merseyside DJ started out in 1975, he was the first ‘dance music’ DJ hired for a regular weekly session at Manchester’s now legendary Hacienda club and he was the first DJ to mix live on British TV, performing on The Tube back in 1983. His sound was electro funk using records being released in New York since the era of disco. The veteran DJ was nominated by DJ Magazine for his outstanding contribution. Greg’s edits and mixes continue to feature on the playlists of DJs in every continent.
