LIMERICK ladies were crowned best dressed at the Galway Races ladies day yesterday. Rachelle Guiry’s baby blue outfit wowed the judges at Ballybrit. Rachelle, a former art teacher from Newcastlewest who now specialises in wedding make-up, won a one carat diamond solitaire pendant valued at €8,500, a shopping spree worth €1500 in Anthony Ryans, Galway and €1000 cash. She also received a Lancôme Presentation Gift Hamper worth over €600 and corporate hospitality package for Galway Races October Bank Holiday Racing Festival. Meanwhile, the winner of the Anthony Ryans Wear Irish Award, for the lady with the most appropriate choice of Irish design or accessories in her ensemble was Aisling Maher from Castleconnell. The milliner, who owns her own boutique in Adare, received a prize of a fashion shopping spree worth €500 in Anthony Ryan’s Galway.
