MGR Accountants appoint assistant manager

-

MGR Staff PicMcKEOGH Gallagher Ryan (MGR) Accountants have promoted Peter O’Brien to the role of assistant manager within the firm.

MGR Accountants, a firm of accounts and business advisors, was established in July 2012 and, having been with the company since it began, Peter has seen the completion of his training rewarded with the promotion.

Hailing from Broadford in County Clare and a graduate of UL, he has completed a three and a half year chartered accountancy programme, chiefly in the General Practice division of Horwath Bastow Charleton in Limerick.

Peter will now lead a team providing audit and accounting as well as assurance and compliance services to a large client base including manufacturing, property, professional service, IT, hospitality, retail and newly formed businesses.

He will also work closely with start-up companies, helping them to acquire grant aid, in addition to developing accounts and internal control functions.

Eoin Gallagher, founder and Audit Partner with MGR Accountants, believes that Peter’s promotion to the assistant manager’s job is fully merited.

He said: “This is a great achievement for Peter. He has worked very hard throughout his training, passing all his exams at the first sitting and developing excellent technical expertise along the way. He is one of the most trusted members of our audit team and has taken on ever more responsibility since joining MGR Accountants.

“It’s great to see a young man from the Mid West region staying here to build his career and I have no doubt that this is just the start of Peter’s professional achievements and promotions.”
