Tipperary 0-17 Limerick 1-17
LIMERICK minor hurlers pulled off an impressive win at Semple Stadium on Wednesday evening against Munster and All-Ireland champions Tipperary to ensure that there will be two teams from the county in action at the Gaelic Grounds on Munster final day on July 14.
Ronan Lynch racked up a total of 1-7 for the Shannonsiders, with the firm possibility of a minor and senior provincial double now on the cards.
A nip and tuck first half ended with Tipperary two points in front, 0-12 to 0-10, and the Premier edged four points clear shortly after the interval.
It was Limerick, though, who finished much the stronger, and Lynch’s penalty seven minutes from time found the net, ultimately proving to be the difference between the sides.
Brian Ryan’s young charges will now face Waterford in the final on Sunday fortnight.
