Birdwatching event at the Wetlands

GEOFF Hunt from Birdwatch Ireland is will head a birdwatching expedition at the Westfields Wetlands on June 20. Twitchers can expect to see resident ducks, swans, coot, moorhen and teal. This event is free, open to all age groups and beginners and experts alike. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.  Warm waterproof clothing and footwear is recommended as is a binocular or telescope. The group will meet at the entrance to Wetlands at Westfields Park at 7.30pm. Dogs are not allowed as they can disturb birds even when on the lead.
