THE LIMERICK footballers fell to an 18 point defeat tonight at the hands of Cork. Limerick 0-8 Cork 3-17. The Rebels all but sealed the deal in eight first half minutes, as the men from Leeside struck three goals in eight minutes.
Leading 3-4 to 0-3 at half time, Lmerick’s performance improved in the second half only for Cork to run out easy winners 3-17 to 0-8.
Limerick must now wait until the weekend of the 29th of June for the first round of the qualifiers, which, at the time of writing, includes Armagh and and Galway.
