THE Motorbike Club in Castleconnell presented a cheque for nearly €5000 to the Irish Cancer Society last week after they organised a poker run. More than 110 bikers left the Worrall’s End pub on April 20 visiting several checkpoints, drawing a playing cars at each one. Sean Grace from Limerick city won the best poker hand at the end of the run and the club, which has 28 members also held a rock gig and a ‘shave or dye’ night to raise funds for the Cancer Society.
