A SHANE Tracy hat-trick helped Limerick FC to pick up their first win of pre-season as they recorded a 4-1 victory away to Wexford Youths last night.
The Super Blues led 2-1 at half-time, with both of Limerick’s goals coming from Tracy free kicks.
Playing as a midfielder, he completed his hat-trick with a penalty after the interval and substitute Darragh Rainsford rounded off the scoring to give Stuart Taylor’s side a confidence-boosting win ahead of their pre-season trip to Scotland this weekend.
The win rounds off a positive week for the club after obtaining a Premier Division licence and bringing in four new players, three of whom started at Ferrycarrig Park in last night’s friendly.
