TWO brothers have been arrested and questioned, along with another man, in connection with an explosives find in Tipperary last week. The arrests were made last Thursday when members of the Special Detective Unit intercepted a car carrying the three men with a number of rocket-launchers and other explosives outside Cahir in Tipperary.
Gardai, who intercepted the car, made the arrests as part of an ongoing investigation into dissident Republican activity.
The three men are aged in their 30s and the gardai took possession of two cars and number of explosive type items and they are now all subject to technical and ballistic examinations.
The men, from Limerick city, are being detained under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act at Clonmel and Cahir Garda Stations.
