Referees

Limerick GAA referees’ in-service course for 2013 will take place over the next two weeks. All Limerick GAA referees who intend to referee in 2013 must attend one of the three upcoming courses:
City Division: Tuesday January 22, Gaelic Grounds at 7.30pm.
East Division: Thursday January 24, UL North Campus at 7.30pm.
South/West Division: Tuesday January 29, Woodlands, Adare at 7.30pm.
All in Limerick GAA were sad to hear of the death of Seamus (Sham) Murphy. Seamus was a well known referee at Bord na nOg and adult level for many years and was a former member of South Bord na nOg and South senior board for many years. Our sympathies go out to his wife Mary and his sons Danny, Johnny and Jimmy-Barry, and daughters Michelle and Maria.

Foundation Award courses

Over the coming weeks Limerick GAA will be rolling out coach education for the first half of 2013. This will involve cluster foundation award courses commencing next week. Each club is advised to send their new coaches to one of these courses to allow them an opportunity to develop their full potential as coaches. The cost of the courses is €10 per person and is payable on the night. Clubs or participants who wish to attend any of the courses should contact Noel Hartigan to book a place. Places will be limited on each course so pre-booking is essential.
