With only a few minutes left on the clock, in normal time, Limerick trailed Clare, 2-10 to 0-8.
However, late goals from Ian Ryan and Seamus O’Carroll ensured that extra time was to be played. Limerick, showing superior fitness than their Clare rivals, continued their dominance to secure a 3 point victory.
Limerick will now face Eamon Fitzmaurice’s Kerry side who defeated UCC 2-12 to 0-10 in their quarter final.
Limerick will be hoping to keep their preseason form going, with exiting Division 4 of the National Football league being their main priority for this coming season.
Limerick kick off their league campaign against Leitrim on February 3, with the final of the Mc Grath Cup, should they make it, down for January 27.
