John Allen’s charges have played friendlies already this year against UL and Clare. The ‘green and whites’ unfortunately have lost both outings, but this weekend should be a different story.
So far this season, Allen and his backroom team have used over 30 players in games. A 2-18 to 0-18 loss to Clare at LIT last week saw Limerick use 23 players in an hour run out.
Limerick fans will be buoyed by the news that Declan Hannon played a starring role in the defeat. The Adare star struggled with injury last season, so a good pre-season for the young gun is needed.
Throw in is at 11.30am in the County Limerick venue.
