LIMERICK band Windings have been nominated for a Choice Music Prize for their third album ‘I am Not The Crow’. The shortlist of 10 albums has been chosen by a panel consisting of 11 music media professionals, representing Irish print, radio, TV and online. Also nominated are albums from Wallis Bird, The Cast of Cheers, Adrian Crowley, Delorentos, Damien Dempsey, Julie Feeney, Heathers, Mumblin Deaf Ro and Two Door Cinema Club. This nomination for Windings is a big help in raising the profile of the band nationally and will also keep the band very busy during the music festival season.
Stephen Ryan of Windings told Limerick Post that the band were absolutely “delighted” with the nomination.
Released in October, more than a year was spent on the recording of I Am Not The Crow, its A-side recorded in Montreal’s Hotel2Tango studio and the B-side in Donegal.
