A MAN charged with the false imprisonment of a 19-year-old youth on the outskirts of Limerick city last August has been further remanded to Portlaoise Prison until December 18 next to appear at Limerick district court via video link. Zachery Coughlan Ryan (34) was charged with falsely imprisoning Stephen Cusack at Caislean na hAbhainn, Castletroy between August 19 and 20. The file is with the DPP and the directions are expected at the next sitting.
The accused, of no fixed abode, initially appeared at a special sitting of the court a number of days after the alleged incident and was remanded in custody.
