Seamus launches debt leaflet 100 days into stand off

A FIRM of printers has sponsored thousands of leaflets  offering advice on how to deal with money problems for Feohanagh man, Seamus Sherlock the founder of the Life After Debt organisation. Seamus and his family marked 100 of their stand against eviction from their home by launching the leaflets at the weekend. When the Sherlock family were told in August that the Bank of Scotland were acting on an eviction order, despite the family offering to pay a “sizeable” amount off their mortgage arrears, they barricaded themselves in with silage bales and refused to leave.

Now Wexford printers, Hughes Printing have sponsored the full-colour leaflets. ‘They have been so generous. They wouldn’t even let us pay for the courier who delivered them,” said Seamus.
“The leaflets give bullet-points on how to handle debt problems.’Local people are calling to the door and offering to give them out in their area or to put them in libraries and other places”, he exlained.
“We want to get the message out there and Hughes have been a massive help,” Seamus said.
