A LIMERICK student has scored first in the world in recent financial exams.
Jitka Pechanocova from Dromcollogher achieved the recognition for her performance in the Foundations in Financial Management exam, placing her ahead of almost 2,600 other students worldwide.
The Czech Republic native received her honour at the recent Griffith College Limerick conferring ceremony at St Mary’s Cathedral.
Two other Limerick students, Laura McDonnell from Dooradyle and Catherine Maher from Kilmallock, also received worldwide placing in their ACCA accounting exams. Laura placed second in Ireland and eight in the world in her accounting test and Catherine achieved third place in Ireland and tenth in the world in her respective exam.
More than 70 students from the Upper William Street campus graduated in subjects ranging from accountancy, business, law, engineering, computing and IT.
