Great Limerick Run Returns

-

THE Great Limerick Run will return to our streets on Sunday May 5 2013. The full, half and six-mile runs all return along with a new concept, the relay marathon. The relay marathon will see four people complete the 26-mile course in a relay format, with a unique reunion point along the course, so that all four can cross the finish line together.

With over 10,000 runners, walkers and joggers expected to take part, the fourth annual Great Limerick Run is expected to be as big as ever.
For more information and to register, log on to www.greatlimerickrun.com or email [email protected]. For a 10 per cent discount on entry, register before December 1, quoting the code GLR10.
With 2013 being the year of The Gathering, Limerick people are expected to build a festival weekend around the Great Limerick Run. Local businesses and communities can expect a huge boost to the area from the influx of runners from overseas.
The organisers have once more travelled the globe to promote Limerick as a marathon destination. Runners from the US, UK and mainland Europe are expected to attend the race in what is expected to be an event for which Limerick will eventually become famous worldwide.
Remember to log on and register and also to have a look around the office for your potential relay team. Participants under the age of 18 are not eligible to run.
