EBS has issued self-help guides for people thinking about buying their first or next home. The guides, ‘10 Steps to Buying Your First Home’ and ‘10 Steps to Buying your Next Home’, provide advice and information around the process of buying a home, including preparing your finances. In the light of the December 31 expiry deadline on 30 per cent interest rate tax relief for first time buyers, the publication buzz is appropriate.
There is even an ‘A-Z jargon buster’ of financial terms to clarify the fine print. The books are available free of charge in all EBS offices and available to download or read at www.ebs.ie.
These guides hope to answer the most common questions asked by those making the step to buy a new home. They talk through how to prepare your finances for a mortgage and what documentation you will require to apply for a mortgage.
Speaking on the launch, Barry Delaney, marketing manager EBS said: “EBS is delighted to launch these information guides. The guides have been developed to equip our customers with an easy reference guide that will support them on their search for a new home.
“The guides seek to break everything into easy steps and will encourage people to get their paperwork organised and to keep all materials up to date, regardless of how may months they may continue to search for their perfect home”
